ADMINISTRATIVE HEARINGS ADVICE DESK

CARPLS’ Administrative Hearings Self-Help Desk was launched in early 2008. It is located on the first floor of the City of Chicago ’s Department of Administrative Hearings, at 400 W. Superior , in Chicago .  The Desk is designed to provide information and legal advice to the many pro se respondents facing ordinance violations issued by the City of Chicago .  This includes building code violations and car impoundments.  The Desk is staffed by two CARPLS attorneys on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM.  Clients are assisted on a first come, first served basis.  Services at the Desk are free to low-income residents of Cook County .
