CARPLS 2010 Golden Gavel Celebration
The 2010 Golden Gavel Celebration was held on May 27, 2010. The event raised over $190,000 for the programs of CARPLS Legal Aid!! CARPLS was overwhelmed by the generosity of the host law firm, Jenner & Block, and our over 250 guests were ecstatic to celebrate in their beautiful new building, with its spectacular city views.
It was an exciting evening that included a short video about our nationally recognized volunteer program CARPLS WORKS, as well as some absolutely hysterical and insightful commentary from our beloved Master of Ceremonies, Lester Munson and great music provided by the Chicago Bar Association's Jazz combo, The Scales of Justice.
The 2010 Golden Gavel Celebration Committee did an outstanding job making the evening CARPLS' most successful fundraising event ever!
