Cy Pres Awards
Cy Pres awards come from residual class actions funds and are used to support “the aggregate, indirect, prospective benefit of class members”. In recent years, CARPLS has benefited from a number of Cy Pres award based on our work to increase access to legal aid services. Judges, law firms and individual attorneys can support our work by recommending CARPLS for a Cy Pres award in pending class action cases.

Matching Gifts
Many law firms and corporations match contributions to CARPLS made by their employees and their spouses. If your or your spouse's company participates in a matching gift program, your gift could double in value. Please contact your human resources office to obtain information on your company's matching gift program if you are considering making a contribution to CARPLS. CARPLS has received matching gifts from Kirkland & Ellis, Sara Lee Corporation, The Equitable, the Field Foundation of Illinois and the MacArthur Foundation.

In-Kind Goods and Services
Giving gifts in-kind allows CARPLS to reduce its overall operating budget and reduces the amount of funds we must raise each year to meet operating costs. Current needs include gifts of laptops, PCs, laser printers and office supplies. CARPLS is also in need of the following professional services: accounting, graphic design, marketing and printing.
