Associate Board

The CARPLS Associate Board is comprised of young professionals who support the resource development efforts of CARPLS through fundraising, recruiting volunteers and increasing public awareness of CARPLS. The Associate Board was created in 1997 by several CARPLS’ volunteers to bring together the best and the brightest of Chicago ’s young professionals. The Board has a dual mission: to promote awareness of CARPLS and to raise funds for the organization. Our current board has both lawyers and non-lawyers from law firms, corporations, and public service agencies. Joining the CARPLS Associate Board offers the chance to get involved in your community by truly making a difference, have fun meeting new people, and celebrate the success of your efforts on behalf of CARPLS.

Annually, the Associate Board hosts two fundraising events for CARPLS. CARPLS Uncorked, a wine tasting, held in the fall and the Gutter Ball Derby, a bowling event, held in February. Each member must serve on at least one of the two event committees in a Fiscal Year to maintain membership on the Board. The event committees solicit corporate sponsorships and raffle prizes for each event.
